Your Guide to Visiting the Mercy House

Where is The Mercy House?

You might think that's an easy question to answer. And it is, to some extent. You can pretty easily find us on a map. The map will tell you how to get to the building, but what do you do from there?

Did you drive? Then you need to park your car. We have a parking lot located on the south side of our building, with an entrance off of Laurel St.

Intersection of Laurel St. & 14th St.

How do I get in?

Even if you didn't drive, it's a good idea to make your way to the south side of the building, because that's how you'll get in. If you're in the parking lot, face the building and find the set of doors on your left. That's the main entrance.

You've made it in the doors. Congratulations! Where to now?

Lobby

Coffee

Go straight ahead, up a few steps, and across the lobby. That room in from of you is the Coffee Bar. Before the Sunday morning service you'll likely find coffee and an informal gathering.

Kids

Have kids? Then go left out of the lobby before you reach the coffee bar. Through the doors and down the ramp you'll find the kids' rooms. The nursery (ages 3 and under) is staffed during the entire service while the older children meet during the sermon.

The Service

On your way to the kids' room, you might have noticed a large, gym-like room off to your right. Some call it the gym, some call it the sanctuary; whatever you call it, this is where we hold our main gatherings. Claim a chair (or a bleacher) early; they fill up fast. We try to start around 10:00, even if we do often fail at that goal.

Restrooms

Finding a restroom can be a little tricky at the Mercy House. Women, you have it easy; the ladies' restroom is off of the main lobby. You can't miss it. Gentlemen, should you need to use the restroom, you'll first need to head into the gym. Go all the way to the front, ignore everyone staring at you, and find the small door labeled "Boys" in the front right. No, not that one, the other one, all the way in the corner.

What do I bring?

A Bible. Our sermons relate directly to the chapter of the week (which will be the chapter after whatever we covered last week), so it's handy to have your own so you can follow along, highlight, etc. Don't worry if you didn't bring one, though. We have some extras, so you can borrow one.

Clothes. No, nothing fancy. Blue jeans, shorts, T-shirts, sandals, whatever. Just wear something. You'll fit right in.

Any other questions?

OK, so this might not have answered 100% of your questions. In the likely event there's something else you want to ask, just send us an email. Operators are standing by.
