The Shadeland Tutoring and Recreation (S.T.A.R.) program is a weekly program to assist children with their homework and give them opportunities to participate in activities they might not otherwise get the chance to participate in.

We feel we have a great deal to offer the children in our community. By providing them with homework assistance, extracurricular activities, and taking an interest in their lives, we hope to give these children a positive outlook on the future. This is not meant to be a replacement for other community programs in the area, but is meant to serve the children directly in our neighborhood who would not have transportation to other after-school clubs.

S.T.A.R. takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 to 6pm. Study buddies can arrive at 5pm. If interested, contact Sarah Whitesel.
