The Mercy House is a missional community situated on the west side of Anderson. Our goal is reconciliation, both to each other and to God, and we invite everyone to join with us as we follow Jesus on this journey.
Shadeland Bicycle Collective (SBC) is a new initiative organized by Ben Orcutt, Anderson University student, operating out of The Mercy House. This past Wednesday, SBC partnered with the STAR Program for its first Wednesday afternoon to provide a bicycle workshop. The Herald Bulletin covered the event and published an article Oct. 1.
Trunk-or-Treat is approaching quickly!! This has been such a fun event in the past. Decorate your trunk and come help us pass out candy on Halloween night. The event is 6-7pm, but please arrive at 5:30 for set up. If you can't join us, please help by donating candy.
Oct.18, there will be a 5K at Shady Side Park (located in Anderson). All proceeds go to West Africa. If you would like more race information contact Erica at emtausch@anderson.edu.
Shadeland Tutoring And Recreation (STAR) kicked off the first day of the after school program this past Wednesday!! Thank you to all the people supporting this endeavor. It is such a great way to get involved with The Mercy House Kids' Ministry. STAR will continue on Weds. @ 3:30pm. We are currently collecting prizes for the program. If you would be willing to donate, we are looking for big bouncy balls, rub on tattoos, kid's toothbrushes, slide puzzles, etc. Please place all donations in the gym.
