John 12:12-36 – So Right and Yet So Wrong
IDEA: In John 12.12-36 Jesus enters Jerusalem Triumphantly. People declare Jesus to be the Messiah King. Which is true. Jesus is the Messiah and King…just not the kind of Messiah or King these folks expect. This whole passage is a subversion of these folk’s and our expectations, hopes, and dreams for the Messiah. The deal is not going to go down like we think it will. We can be oh so right in our beliefs, hopes, and dreams and still be oh so wrong.
