IDEA: Humans seem to think they’ve come along way since Jesus walked the earth. We’ve had two-thousand years of philosophy and theology, two-thousand years of authors, kings, poets, and presidents–yet I wonder if anyone can go further than the once blind man who said, “Lord, I believe.”

IDEA: In his classic novel, The Scarlett Letter, Nathaniel Hawthorne writes, “…in view of Infinite Purity, we are sinners all alike.” The first eleven verses of John 8 remind us of the same thing. This story encourages us to take a proper view of ourselves. To acknowledge both our capacity for exquisite good and shocking evil.
